Day 20, July 27--Why don't we have a pool?

That question is very much on my mind as we sit here lounging at Lizzy Smith's pool in Scottsdale, AZ. The four of us (Jason, Lizzy, JMB, and I) have done close to nothing so far this day--Lizzy gave us a driving tour of Old Town Scottsdale, Jon-Mychal finished his book, Jason jumped rope, Lizzy hoola-hooped, I unclogged a toilet...nothing too strenuous.

Right now, as I blog, Jason is wondering if Lizzy's dad has a "special blend" for the burgers that we are planning on grilling soon. Life is tough in Arizona.

It is hot though, but with a pool to dip into the pool when necessary, who even notices? Tomorrow, we roll on to the Grand Canyon, but I must say, the thought of camping again once having been chilling poolside, is pretty bad. Oh well, such is life!

PS- For inquiring minds, the shot of my leg on our photo slideshow is the result of Camel Back park in Boise. It was a steep hill, and I slipped, skinning my knee (no mom, they are not ticks!)
