Today started out with Buffalo's tasty treats (see Jon-Mychal's post below), and only got more
interesting from there! From Buffalo, we went to Niagara Falls, but were sidetracked by the border patrol. I guess having no reservations, not being exactly sure how long we were staying in the country, saying we were from Boston, but having Florida plates made the Canucks a bit suspicious. So they rifled through our stuff, but finding that yes, we really were on a road trip, they decided to let us in the country.
Niagara was a trip--tons of people, nice views, but not much to do. So we took some pics, and then headed on the road again.
Being the spontaneous individuals that we are aiming to be, we decided to find a cheap room and detour in Toronto. The city came highly recommended by friends Meg & Alex, so we thought we should give it a shot. What a great idea! After surviving a drive through a SERIOUS thunderstorm (thank goodness we weren't camping--that would have been my worst nightmare), we made it to our dining destination: Five Doors North. It is "Summerlicious" time here (like Restaurant Week), so we had a killer 3 course dinner for $25 each. And we saved money because we didn't pick up the hooker outside of our motel. Nice job all around.
Tomorrow, we are going to actually camp...we've been threatening this for a couple days now, and we don't want to get spoiled!

you guys rock! I'm going to love reading your blog... so witty :-)
I think you should have gone for the hooker. $30 Canadian Dollars is worth a lifetime of memories.
Woo-hoo! Glad to hear a recommendation of ours worked out! Are you guys also using "Road Food"?? (saw your Beef on Weck post below...)
