Day 1 (part 2)--392 miles

Well, we made it. It was definitely questionable though, and we learned a valuable lesson: don't wait too long to get gas. The next gas station may not be just around the bend. Camilla's warning of "Low Fuel" got me all fired up, and with my newly-licensed hubby behind the wheel, we can officially say that it got tense! That said, we are now sitting on Betsy's porch, laughing and loving each other on solid soil. It is really too bad I have to be such a control freak...I just don't like it when I'm not driving. :)

After arriving, we relaxed in the sun while waiting for Betsy to finish her clinic. Then, it was off to Alladdin's, an adorable eatery on the Erie Canal. And what is dinner without ice cream? Bill Wahl's supplied the dessert. A quick driving tour of Rochester, and then it was bedtime. Until tomorrow...

i know all about that control freak stuff- after a long days drive as passenger i usually have a stiff "breaking" leg from slamming my foot against the floor every time i think we're going to die.

you know what works to calm me down? pills and booze.
