While Lisa and Ben went to church this morning, us Bowmans slept in, and prepped for some more fun in SD! Together, "Team BS," as Jon-Mychal is calling us, went for some fabulous fish tacos at Wahoo, and then around the La Jolla area, scoping out all of the beautiful, super=expensive houses. Quite lovely indeed! (By the way, check out Lisa's Californian escapades at her blog: www.californiahousewife.blogspot.com)Then it was adios to the Schads, and hello to the Sadeghis! We drove up to Irvine to have a phenomenal meal with the "California Cousins." I must say, it was particularly special, not only because we have not seen them in a year or more, but because the outstanding Persian cuisine was made to order! Perfection! It was great to be able to catch up and just chat. Sadly, we were not able to agree upon a good running mate for Obama or McCain, despite our best efforts! Hopefully, they will be able to choose well without our input.
After stuffing ourselves, we had to say goodbye and head back to our last night in LA before heading north tomorrow to celebrate our 1st anniversary. I know it might sound cheesy, but after spending these past 27 days traversing the country with him, I am so, so happy and thankful that I have such a fantastic husband. I love you, Munk!
